ARC Commander ARC-1104 aka Commander Shark

  Yup. This is a render of  MY STAR WARS OC; An ARC Commander who goes by the name of Shark.

Bio: Like any of his ARC Trooper brethren, he was created  to be more independent, yet loyal to the Republic. Shark had special training that allowed him to act without thinking. Shark had an unaltered independent mind; he often had to defy certain orders that never really agreed with him. 

When he was a boy, Shark had to put up with taking orders from arrogant Republic Commandos, and had to play guardian angel to disfigured clones  like 99. Shark found himself having to defend 99 from arrogant Commandos and had to put  them in their place. It was at this time he met RC-1138 aka Boss and forged a friendship between the two future leaders. Shark assured 99 someday that he was going to serve like the rest of  their brothers. After completing their training,  Shark and the other  ARC troopers were either on Kamino supervising cadet training or on deployment for other missions.

Shark served at Christophisis and had been the one who tipped off the Generals about a spy in their midst; he was sure someone had known their every move.  Shark earned his  first name due to his  loner-like personality and  predatory-like tactics.  The odd thing was... when he reached his adult age, he stopped growth accelerating, and stopped aging all together. The Cloners were puzzled by this and took samples of his blood to determine how this happened. Shark was then partnered up with fellow ARC  Capt. Lock-On and Pilot Lieutenant Gears. At first,  he didn't get along with them, but they learned to grow on him.

The three served with  Generals Obi-Wan and Anakin Skywalker on various missions such as Christophisis, Teth, and many other worlds until a mysterious abduction of Clones from certain units began. Shark and his brothers found out  Grevious kidnapped several Clones  on Yavin IV in order to learn about the various branches of the GAR.  Shark and his ARCs battled the Kaleesh Cyborg and rescued the Clones. This rescue landed him the promotion to Commander. 

One of the clones was Jet  Trooper Sergeant Peregrine of Horn Company, who was in charge of the two Bomb Squad brothers  Xplode and Boom. Another was a ARF Rancor Battalion trooper named Swiftshot. Another clone was  Clone  Assasin Nightburn and his partner ARF Trooper Quickburst, Another was Scuba Unit Lieutenant Jetstream. All of them were clones Shark knew from childhood.  Together,  these clones formed the squad known as Karkarodon Squad. They were also known as "fins" for having the Phase 1 fins on their helmets, and they, like, Shark, stopped aging twice the human rate due to  Taun We applying the code into their genes and at Shark's request, made the clones more like the ARCs; more independent and less docile to obey.

Karkarodon Squad later worked alongside the Delta Commandos on Bothuwai. In spite of Boss having full authority over the ARCs, he let Commander Shark be in charge due to the friendship they held so many years. The two squads discovered plans to reprogram the clones to serve the Separatists. Shark and the others took the plans and destroyed them to prevent Wat Tambor from executing them. Shark found himself working alongside  Senator Garm Bel Iblis and professional Corellian martial arts fighter/Army captain Miranda Aclemene on the defense of Corellia, after that mission, the two grew close and began dating, eventually Miranda joined the Squad as did her Wookie partner Ursa. At Miranda's suggestion, Shark adopted the last name Konihi to make himself stand out as an individual amongst the GAR, in turn, Miranda and Ursis received the age stopping gene in their genetic code to match with their squadmates. Another squad mate by the name of Tracyn-Tal joined the team when Death Watch resurfaced.

 He earned the Jaig Eyes for his courageous actions on Corellia  during the rescue and put them on his armor which later was upgraded to the Phase II ARC Trooper armor.  Even when the Phase II armor fully came out, he kept the prototype helmet, considering he thought the  Phase II helmet looked rather awkward without the fin. 

A few months before the Rishi Outpost attack, Shark, ARC Commanders Blitz, Colt, Hammer, and Havoc were supervising Domino Squad's training exercises with General Shaak Ti. Domino Squad  failed, as usual and Colt chewed them out. Shark talked Colt out of yelling at them further and he and the ARCs showed Domino Squad how it was done in the simulator. Shark and 99 gave Hevy a pep talk and soon, Domino Squad beat Bravo Squad's time. Shark chuckled at Hevy's enthusiasm to becoming an ARC Trooper as he, Lock-On and Gears saw Domino Squad off.

During the attack on Ryloth, Shark and his team were sent to look for two of Commander Cody's troopers. They found Waxer and Boil with a  little Twi'lek girl named Numa, and Shark knew the two understood what they were fighting for. Waxer and Boil earned their spots within Karkarodon Squad for their actions on Ryloth.


Shark lead the attack on a droideka factory on the Colicoid homeworld and had learned about the secret of a moon sized battle station... This worried him a bit. After serving with Jedi General Aayla Secura and General Yoda, Shark and Captain Tarpals began working on the defense of Naboo. After capturing a Battle Droid Factory, one  very intelligent Super Battle Droid named M-107 wished to join the squad to fight for Droid rights. At that point, Karkarodon Squad was made up of Humans, Clones, Droids and Aliens, making it a ethnic platoon among the Grand Army of the Republic. The squad would change up its lineup depending on the specifications of the mission at hand.


ARC Commander Shark, and several other ARC Commanders lead the defense on Kamino. His Squad worked alongside Capt. Rex, Troopers Fives and Echo and Commander Cody to beat back the Sep threat. Shark was devastated when 99 died; he had customized clone armor for 99 and had orders for his dear brother to serve in his squad. Commander Shark then had Echo and Fives become a the 501st-representatives in Karkarodon Squad, and the condition  in joining was that they keep the fin on their ARC Trooper helmets.

After that, Shark met Senator Amidala  on Coruscant and debated with her on whether the Clones should be shut down or put down after the Clone Wars. Shark and his team joined ARC Troopers Echo and  Fives, Commander Cody and Rex to rescue General Piell and Capt. Tarkin. During the mission, when Miranda and three of their squad mates were left behind, Tarkin insisted that they were expendable and that they should press on. Shark, Capt. Lock On, Gears and Sergeant Peregrine were outraged at that order and disobeyed Tarkin and rescued their teammates.  When Echo made the sacrifice so they could escape, Shark  and his brothers held a funeral for Echo and the fallen members of Domino Squad, Shark and the others refused to believe Echo was dead.


At the  Second battle of Mon Calamari,  Karkarodon Squad found themselves battling the very creatures from which they took their  Squad Name from. Shark trained Capt. Ackbar on ARC tactics and he in turn learned about Mon Cal tactics. After that, Shark met with Bail Organa who had some concerns about the Republic's future... Shark was also worried about the Republic he defended. They began to meet up with each other after missions to discuss a plan in which they talked Mon Motha into helping them.

Shark and Karkarodon Squad worked alongside Delta Squad  to find Clone Commando Captain Gregor on Abafar after the droids had been recovered. They successfully found Gregor who decided to work the war in the shadows; serving as Karkarodon's eyes and ears.

The Squad later served at Umbara where they and Rex taught the  501st to never take  orders that shouldn't be obeyed.  When Fives  died at the hands of Commander Fox, Shark held another funeral and swore  to never let his Squad go crazy. That changed while serving on a mission with Clone Force 99 when Echo was found to be alive.  Soon, Shark informed Blitz Hammer, Clone Squad 99, Jesse and Echo of Bio-chup and convinced them to remove it.  At the tail end of the Clone Wars, Shark  and his squad flew alongside the 501st in the Battle of Coruscant to rescue the Chancellor.

Karkardon Squad accompanied the 212th Battalion to Utapau. While in the thick of battle Shark had a bad feeling about what was going to go down.  Upon Grevious' death the secret Order was released. Shark disobeyed Order 66 because he and the squad believed the Republic had been compromised. He wasn't wrong on that.

The squad and helped Obi-Wan escape the 212th's attack.  Shark and Karkarodon Squad helped their Jedi allies infiltrate the Jedi Temple ruins and battle the 501st and the Coruscant Guard. Shark later met up with Bail Organa and the two began planning a revolution. Shark was seen with Bail Organa at Polis Massa when Padme delivered Luke and Leia. He suggested to Bail to take Leia and the two took baby Leia to Alderaan. Shark found himself teaching Leia how to shoot as she grew up. For a Mission to retrieve C-3P0 and R2-D2,  the commander and his squad met Kanan and the Ghost Crew and trained them in fight maneuvers. Kanan and Shark found themselves at odds with each other; Kanan didn't trust the clones at all.

The squad met with the Ghost Crew several times until the one day Ahsoka Tano revealed herself and Shark was given orders to accompany the Ghost Crew's missions. It was at that point, The Ghost Crew and Karkarodon Squad decided to work together. It's telling Shark and Kanan didn't get along for awhile but they kept it civil in the presence of Master Yoda.

After the encounter with Darth Vader, The Ghost Crew and Karkarodon Squad found themselves on a desert planet far from the Empire and encountered three Clones; Captain Rex, Commander Wolffe, and  their Squad mate Captain Gregor. It was there where Kanan revealed he hated the clones for killing his Master. The clone members of Karkarodon Squad nearly went down fighting alongside their brothers against the Empire until Kanan and Ezra saved them. Shark found himself confronted by Ahsoka about Anakin not long after she found out who Darth Vader was, and he revealed the truth. The two kept Vader's identity a secret even until Ahsoka's fateful duel with Vader on Malchor. 

Shark and his squad accompanied Rex, Kanan, Chopper and Ezra to Agamar where they ran into Kalani who was one of Commander Shark's rivals during the Clone Wars. Shark and Rex found themselves fighting one last Battle of the Clone Wars in order to save Zeb. Ezra got to the two sides  to fight the Empire.


When the Death Star plans were beamed aboard the Tantive IV, Karkarodon Squad evacuated in shielded pods and landed on Tatooine. Shark and Mira found themselves at the homesteads of the Lars family with R2 and 3P0. Shark and his team helped R2 and Luke find Obi-Wan. The group made their way to Mos Eisley, though the clone members of the squad had to hide their armor and helmets under cloaks.

Shark commented that Obi-Wan still got the moves after the latter saved Luke from two thugs. The two old friends met up with Chewbacca who led them to Captain Han Solo; an old friend of Miranda's. The group made their way to the Millennium Falcon's hanagr and escaped a Stormtrooper assault. Shark was blown away what see the shattered remnants of Alderaan and took the lead in disguising the squads  as Stormtroopers; even going so far as to wearing a stormtrooper pauldron.

The group made their way to Princess Leia's cell and fought their way to the Falcon. Shark witnessed his former General die at the hands of Darth Vader and got Luke to get aboard. Upon landing at Yavin IV, Shark helped General Dodonna coordinate the attack on the Death Star.

Shark and Luke were transferred to Echo Base on Hoth. The Empire had discovered the Alliance on Hoth, and Karkarodon Squad found themselves engaging the Empire in a desperate pitched battle. Upon retreating, Shark, Han, Leia and the squad flew into an  asteroid field, nearly got eaten by a giant worm while evading the Empire. The group landed on Bespin where they met Lando Calrissian who betrayed them at dinner. 

Shark and his teammates endured torture after torture, only to witness Han frozen in carbonite. Lando freed them from their cells,upon which Shark scolded Calrissian for his cowardice to the Empire. Shark lead an assault to liberate Captain Solo, but Boba Fett got away with his prize.  The Rebels later rescued a damaged Luke Skywalker from falling to his death. 

Shark later appeared alongside Leia as a Bounty Hunter to help rescue Han. Leia's cover was blown, Luke arrived and things got dangerous.  Upon arriving to the Sarlacc pit, Karkardon Squad sprung into action. Soon, Jabba's barge was destroyed. Aboard the Home One, Shark and his squad volunteered to go on the mission to Endor. It was a trap, and Shark found himself fighting a desperate final battle against the Empire, soon, using his classic tactics alongside the Ewoks, the tide turned and the Death Star II was destroyed.

30 years Later
 Turns out fighting the Empire wasn't over as Shark thought as they battled a group of Imperial Hard-liners known as the First Order. Shark and his team accompanied hotshot X-wing pilot Poe Dameron to Jakku to find Lorn San Tekka and a map they needed to find Luke. They bought time for BB-8 to escape in the pitched battle with the First Order that unfolded. Poe and Squad were captured by Kylo Ren,but were rescued by Finn.

The team found themselves back on Jakku in company of a youngster named Rey. Shark found himself training the two youngsters as they flew off the planet in the Millenium Falcon. Shark was reunited with Captain Solo and Chewbacca, after yet a fight with the Kanjiklubb clan and Guavian Death Gang, the Squad and the  youngsters found themselves on the planet Takodona in the presence of Maz Kanata; a Force User pirate Queen. 

Upon discovering Anakin's second Lightsaber, Shark confirmed his suspicions, Rey was a Force user, and tried to persuade her to not fight her destiny but go with it. Shark and BB-8 found the First Order and battled them. Shark saw Rey get kidnapped by Ren as Leia arrived.

On D'Qar, Shark and Poe and Alliance Command drew up a plan to both rescue Rey and sabotage Starkiller Base. Shark and the others accompanied Han Finn and Chewie to the First Order planet and snuck their way in to find Rey and plant explosives in the base's main reactor only to be confronted by Kylo Ren. 

Shark and Han, at Leia's request, tried to talk to Kylo Ren; formerly known as Ben Solo, only to see Han die. Shark and Rey battled Kylo Ren, only to be separated from him and  getting off the planet. Soon Karkarodon Squad escorted Rey to a water world where after so many years, found Luke Skywalker.


Personality and Traits

 He was aloof at first but the people around him began to teach him friendship and teamwork. His tactics were stealthy, meaning if you didn't  see him or his team coming until  it was too late. He'd sneak up behind the enemy or in front of them and blast them while they were caught unaware. Shark was a man of strong morals and a rigid ethical code. Shark was a direct speaker who spoke plainly and was unafraid of bluntly casting blame where he felt it was due. At the same time, he cared for his comrades and especially for the children.

He preferred to fight honorably,  even if it was one on one. Shark was undeterred in the face of great danger, and fought on with unfailing courage  no matter the odds, and unlike most clones, he refused to retreat. Shark also didn't like people  cowardly taking hostages  or fleeing from battle. Shark preferred using DC-17 pistols to rifles because he liked to be up close and personal when blasting. He was prepared for a fight with Grievous by using durasteel, Cortosis ore, beskar in his armor and his customized rapid-fire DC-17 pistols. He even inherited  his Clone Source's blaster-spinning routine.  Shark was even capable of subduing Jedi and Sith with his bare hands

 Shark even developed a combat style with his DC-17s  based on Djem So and Soresu, calling it  the "Blast Blade" style of blaster-fighting.

ARC Trooper Armor

Phase 1
His Phase 1 armor looked to be that of a standard ARC Trooper Captain.  The lightweight armor almost resembled Rex's armor except for the red coloring.  He wore a red upswept shoulder pauldron which had blaster gas cartridge pouches on the right side, and had the typical arsenal of an ARC; a command skirt, mini missile launcher wrist gauntlet. Shark threw in grey to offset the red.

Phase 2
Shark's helmet  had  the Phase II version of the "T" visor and was sporting a short red version of the Phase I helmet's antenna fin on top,  the helmet had red Soldex automatic polarizing filters, which formed  the "chin" of the helmet. The  upside down "v" shaped grilled frown was above the "chin" where the mouth was. The forehead of the helmet had red Jaig eyes on them. The double sided  pauldron had a red rank color on one side and had  blaster gas cartridge pouches on the right side. The pauldron had  a grey  chestplate, and a life support pack was usually worn on his back. The shoulders of his armor were  white. His kama was simply black lined with red and had additional ammo pouches on either side of them. His arm gauntlets  were red and grey; the insides of his arms were grey while the outsides of his arms were red. Shark had a rocket dart launcher on the left gauntlet, just above the commlink. His knee plates had simple red  lines on them.

For both of these armors, the SCUBA armor and the cold assault armor, Shark has replacement armor for much of his suits. He even had additional items that could be fitted onto his armor for particular mission profiles; Some configurations were made of brute force armament, others were for nonlethal missions.

But later  he and his squad used money Miranda loaned them to buy a Clone Armor factory for their personal use and created a personal mode comprising a fusion of the best of Phase 1 and Phase 2 armors, the armor even included the Phase 1 armor's internal life support systems. The mold and armor was personally and made only for members of Karkardon Squad. the armor would even later be upgraded in terms of toughness and software of First Order grade Stormtrooper armor. Shark reacquired the Phase 1 helmet  incorporated the visor into his upgraded Phase II helmet which still had the fin.
